The Board
Each member of the Management Board has signed statements to confirm that they operate at all times for the benefit of the Association and the tenants. They do this without payment and exercise the same care for the Association’s work as they would for their own business.
Merfyn Roberts // Chair and Equality and Diversity Champion
Joined the Board in 2003. Retired after over 30 years within the social services of local government. Was Head of Client Services within the Social Services Department, Denbighshire County Council. Represents the Association on the Advisory Committee of Denbighshire Care and Repair.
Huw Ellis // Vice-Chair
Co-opted onto the Board in November 2009 following an advertisement process and was elected a full member in July 2010. Manager of the College of Business, Social Sciences and Law, Bangor University.
John Arthur Jones // Chair of the Resources Committee
Board member since 1983 and spent two periods as the Association’s Chair. Retired bank official.
Elwyn Edwards //
Has been a member of the Board for over 20 years. Employed as a Development Officer for a charitable publishing company. Gwynedd County Councillor and Vice-Chair of Snowdonia National Park Planning and Access Committee.
Alan Fitton //
Co-opted onto the Board in November 2009 following an advertisement process and was elected a full member in July 2010. Chief Executive of Fuel Link Services Ltd.
Elizabeth Snowden //
Co-opted onto the Board in 2004 and elected full member in 2006. Before retiring was deputy director of Denbighshire Voluntary Services. Vice-Chair of the Operational Committee.
Elen Thomas //
Joined the Board of Management in 1993 and is a past Chair of the Association. Before retiring in 2009, she was employed by Gwynedd Council as Team Leader within Social Services, responsible for assessing and arranging services for elderly people.
Cefyn H. Williams //
Joined the Board in 1987. Retired factory worker. Denbighshire County Councillor. Represents the Association on Denbighshire Care and Repair Advisory Committee and Chairs the Committee. He is the Association’s representative on the Rural Housing Enabler Steering Committee.
